DOUGLAS FRED CORMIER

CORMIER, DOUGLAS FRED - It is with great sadness we announce the death of Douglas Fred Cormier of Saint John, who passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on February 25, 1944, he was the son of the late Mary (Forgey) and Doug Cormier. Doug was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved to work on cars, play guitar, be with family and friends and always enjoyed a cold beer. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hebert, daughters Holly Dawn Hebert (Ryan Long) of Saint John and Michelle Cormier (Terry Hall) of Cumberland Bay, NB; grandchildren Nathan, Michael, Koby, Sassy, Saydi and Taelyn; one great grandchild Ethan; sisters Mary Gibbon (Leonard) of Gagetown, NB; Shirley Hansen (Ralph) of Rothesay, Janet McMillan of Saint John and Bonnie Snodgrass (Dave) also of Saint John; brother-in-law Derek Danells; one very special niece, Lisa Gibbon of Oromocto, NB; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Carol Danells and son Kevin Stackhouse. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A reception will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 1 pm at his sister Shirley's home on 3 Dobson Lane, Rothesay. Interment will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. Donations may be made to the Lung Association or charity of one's choice.
