COREY-MURRAY, MARJORIE EVELYN (1922-2009) - Marjorie Evelyn Corey-Murray of Florenceville passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on December 9, 2009. She was born on August 2, 1922 at Victoria Corner, the daughter of the late Walter and Evelyn Cook. She is survived by her husband, George Murray, three sons: Roger (Judy) Corey of Moncton; Ross (Janice) Corey of Landsdowne and Neil (Brenda) Corey of Fredericton; One Step son: Brian (Darlene) Murray of Lakeville. She had five grandchildren: Matthew (Rebekah), Sarah (Steve Rasmussen), Thomas, Scott and Simon Corey. She is also survived by her sister, Maude Corey-Shaw; her sisters-in-law, Marjorie Cook, Muriel (Cook) Smith, Kay (Paul) Foster, Shirley (Paul) Brooks and brothers-in-law, Judson Corey, Warren (Goldie) Corey, Keith (Eva) Corey, Gordon (Esta) Corey and David Lecuyer. For many years, Marge and her first husband, Tom, operated T.W. Corey and Sons General Store in Glassville N.B. After Tom's passing in 1975, Marge lived in Woodstock where she was an active member of the Woodstock Wesleyan Church and very much beloved by her immediate and extended families. Marjorie was predeceased by an infant daughter, Brenda, and her siblings: Grace (Edward) Mutch; Wendell Cook; Janet (Robert) Culberson; Walter (Babe) Cook Jr.; and Elizabeth Lecuyer. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville on Friday Dec 11, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held from the Woodstock Wesleyan Church on Saturday Dec 12 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Dale MacDonald will officiate. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hartland at a later date.
