O'LEARY, STELLA MARIE - A Mass of Christian Burial for Stella O'Leary was celebrated on Monday, December 7th, 2009, at St. Mark's Catholic Church with Rev. Donald Breen celebrating. Music was provided by St. Mark's Music Ministry and the Canter for the Mass was Rick Duffy. Scripture readings were read by Peter and Jean Scott. The Gospel was read by Father Breen. Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed by Pierre Rioux. The Homily was delivered by Father Breen. Pallbearers were: Joe O'Leary, Fred MacDonald, Al Lemoine, Andrew MacDonald, Patrick MacDonald and Breanne O'Leary. Immediately following the Mass a reception was held in the church hall. Following cremation, a burial took place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Rothesay. Many floral tributes were received from family and friends, including one from the Staff of Health Records and Utilization Management of Zone 2. Memorial donations were made to the Kennebecasis Valley Food Basket, including one from the Staff of the Department of Justice; Children's Wish Foundation, including one from Gondola Point Grocery; Romero House - Soup Kitchen, including one from the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers of Romero House. There were also numerous Mass Cards for St. Mark's Parish; as well as, various other memorials that were made to The Anglican Parish of Quispamsis, East Saint John Food Bank, IWK, A.J. Hourihan Scholarship Fund, Canadian Cancer Society, Quispamsis United Church, Holy Trinity Anglican Church in St. Martins, Alzheimer Society of NB and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB. Stella's family would like to send sincere thanks and appreciation to all who passed along expressions of sympathy upon the loss of a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. The many prayers, acts of kindness, times of visitation, sympathy cards, food, flowers, memorial donations and e-mail condolences were so wonderfully received. To the staff of Rocmaura Nursing Home, a heartfelt thank you for the excellent care that was provided to Stella. A special thank you to Father Breen, the Ministries and all the Committees of St. Mark's Parish for so wonderfully assisting in celebrating a very special life. Best wishes.
