MASTER CORPORAL ROBERT GEORGE "BOBBY" LEBLANC
LEBLANC, MASTER CORPORAL ROBERT GEORGE "BOBBY" - Passed away at his residence in Oromocto on Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Born in Saint John on April 18, 1940, he was the son of the late Clarence and Blanche (Bradbin) LeBlanc. Bobby joined the armed forces in 1957 and retired in 1977 as a Master Corporal. He then joined the reserve and retired as Warrant Officer in 1995 in Oromocto. He served overseas in Germany, Cyprus and Egypt. He was the president of the Hampton Legion and President of the Oromocto Legion for 5 years and served as Executive at both branches for several years. He was the Deputy District Commander of Capitol District. Bobby was an avid shuffle board and dart player. He is survived by his son, Mark (Jodi), of Hampton; sister, Faye (Blake) Lambert, of Saint John; grandchildren, Matthew and Zackary and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Clarence Jr. and sister, Linda LeBlanc. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 12:00 pm from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A memorial tribute, in Oromocto, will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations, in memory of Bobby, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
