MCCARTY, SANDRA MAE - Surrounded by her family, the passing of Sandra McCarty, wife of Harold McCarty of Red Head occurred on Monday, January 4, 2010 at her residence. She was born on November 29, 1947 at Saint John to the late William and Hildred (Clark) Graves. Sandra worked with environmental services at St. Joseph's Hospital for many years. Besides her husband Harold, she is survived by three daughters: Vicky Buckley (Lorne) of BC, Brenda Buckley (Andrew) of Ottawa, ON, and Wanda Whittlock of Hartland, NB; son, Robert (Debra) Buckley of Saint John; brother Norman (Rose) Graves of Ottawa, ON; sister, Darlene Dickison; special sister-in-law Katherine (Rosebud) McCarty; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sandra was predeceased by her parents, three brothers: Wayne, Douglas, and William Graves and a sister Marjorie Graves, and brother-in-law Bob Dickison. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, January 7, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 2 pm from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
