HANSCOM, ANNA KATHLEEN - 1923-2010 - The passing of Anna Hanscom of Hillandale occurred at the Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital on the morning of February 3, 2010. Born in Lake Edward, NB on July 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William and Nettie (McQuade) Howlett. Anna is survived by her daughters Shirley Vahey (Walter) of Mississauga, ON, Laureen Hanscom (Nick) of St-Eustache, QC, Brenda Lafont (Doug) of Okotoks, AB; her sons Dale Hanscom (Carol) of Mississauga, ON, Earle Hanscom (Betty) of Tinker; her sisters Leitha Howlett of Perth-Andover, Frances Lloyd of Plaster Rock; her brother Kenneth Howlett (Carol) of Fredericton; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Sterling B. Hanscom. Anna was a member of the Keenagers Club, the Anglican Church Women's Group and the Tobique Crafts Group. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2 pm from the Trinity Anglican Church. Rev. Bonnie LeBlanc officiating. Interment will be in St. George's Anglican Cemetery, Lake Edward, NB at a later date.
