CAIRNS, BARBARA ANN (1929 - 2010) - Born in Calgary, AB, the only child of the late Ken and Hilda Cairns. Barb died peacefully at St. Joseph's Manor, Ottawa on February 3, 2010, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer Disease. Her cousin Lorne Landreville and his wife Janet were by her side. Also surviving are her special cousin Sharron Waters and her husband Ray, and many other loved cousins. Barbara retired in 1989 after 20 years at the Civic Hospital as Supervisor of the Hematology Lab. She had a great love of fine music and was a member for many years of the choirs of Carleton Memorial United and Parkwood Presbyterian Churches. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Rd. Monday 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 10am. A private interment will take place at a later date.
