MARY LOU MacGREGOR
MacGREGOR, MARY LOU - Mary Lou MacGregor passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 at the age of 61. Born in Chatham, New Brunswick to Hazen Brennan and Lourdes Brennan (Walsh), she attended public school there, and was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and Dominican College, Houston, Texas. She enjoyed three separate careers, as a hospital administrator in Ottawa, Ontario; a mother and chauffeur of her children and various sports teams in Riverview, New Brunswick, and a devoted public servant in Fredericton. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and well-liked and respected by her fellow workers. She treated everyone as a friend and thought the best of all she met. Mary Lou took on the task of caring for her husband's parents in her own home with joy and tenderness in the latter years of their life. A devout Catholic, she found great comfort in her faith which helped her come to accept her illness, knowing she was soon to be safe in the arms of Jesus and in the company of departed family and friends. She is survived by her husband Scott, her children Allyson, Scott and Catherine, two brothers, her twin William of Edmonton, Alberta and Joseph of Chatham, New Brunswick along with a large number of cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Chatham, with visitation there from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, February 11th, 2010. The Funeral service will be at St. Michael's Basilica, 10 Howard Street, Miramichi on Friday, February 12th, 2010 at 11 am. Reception to follow service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital Foundation or the Oncology Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
