BALL (CORMIER), ELIZABETH (BETTY) - With family by her side, Betty passed away Feb 13, 2010 at Rocmaura Nursing Home in Saint John NB. She was a loving soul who had a zest for life, was devoted to her family and extremely loyal to her friends. Born May 8,1928 in Dalhousie, NB, she was pre-deceased by her parents Roney Poirier and Diana (Ward) Poirier, as well as by her first husband Adrian Cormier. She is survived by her second husband Bernard Ball, Red Head; sons: Rene Cormier, Red Head and Michael Cormier (Mary Lou), Grand Bay-Westfield; daughters: Betty Ann Hamilton (Allen), Upham, Geraldine Levesque (Dan Scott), Nackawic, Marlene Cormier-Cox (Robert), Porters Lake NS and Barbara-Ann Himelman (William), Parrsboro, NS; stepdaughter: Jacqueline Kilpatrick (Gary), Upham; and stepson: Clarence Ball (Giselle), Manitoba. Nana will be missed by her 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Betty was also pre-deceased by her son: Valmond Cormier and step-daughter Russette (Ball) LeBlanc. The family will have an open house visitation at Betty's home, 1109 Red Head Road from 7 to 9 on Wednesday evening, February 17. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Stella Maris Church, Bay Side Drive followed by a reception, again at 1109 Red Head Road. Cremation has taken place under the care of Fundy Funeral Home.
