ROY, DAVID HECTOR - The death of David Hector Roy, cherished and loving husband to Mona (Guthrie) Roy occurred on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1956 in Saint John, he was the son of Nina (McLenaghen) Roy and the late Roger Roy. David worked as a Heat and Frost Insulator for Local 131 for many years. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children Matthew Roy (Lacey) of Saint John, Corporal Otis Eatmon of Kingston, ON, Sherri Eatmon (Dan) of Calgary, AB, Laura Eatmon (Randy) of Toronto, ON, Debra Eatmon of Saint John; brothers Romeo Roy (Wendy) and Ivan Roy (Patricia) both of Saint John; sisters Sandra Chamberlain (Wallace) of Belleville, ON, and Rosemary Lights (Calvin) and Judy Beck (Gordon) both of Saint John; six grandchildren Iyshi Eatmon, Christopher Eatmon, Desireé Eatmon, Olivia Eatmon, Kyilee Lynn Boyd and RJ Eatmon; several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
