Flora Cormier COCAGNE, NB- Flora Cormier, 77, widow of the late François Cormier (1922), of Cormier Rd., Cocagne, NB, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born June 2, 1924, at Saint-Antoine de Kent, NB. She was the daughter of the late Clément Cormier and Alida Goguen. She attended Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB. Recipient of an honorary Ph.D. (Education) from the University of Moncton (1985), school teacher for 33 years, member of the Retired Teachers Association, President of the Cocagne Historic Committee and member of the Cocagne Golden Age Club. She is survived by one daughter Cécilia Cormier (Patrice Joubert) of Cocagne; two sons, Michel (Anne Bernier) of Moscow, Russia, Jacques (Lisa) of Cocagne; five sisters, Rita Hébert, Zéna LeBlanc (Euclide) both of Saint-Antoine de Kent, Assunta Bourgeois of Moncton, Cécilia Cormier (Hervé) Bouctouche, Juliette Cormier of California; one brother, Alban, of Saint-Antoine de Kent, NB; five grandchildren, Jean-Jacques, Gabriel, Philippe, Dominique, Samuel; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one brother Yvon Cormier (2000). Remains resting at Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., Bouctouche (Friday), SaintPierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne (Saturday). Visiting hours on Friday 12:30-3:00 p.m., and 7:00-9:00 p.m. (Bouctouche) and 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. (Cocagne). Funeral service will be held at SaintPierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB, on Saturday, December 22, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. Remains placed in Parish Cemetery.
