The death occurred peacefully, with family by her side, at the Prince County Hospital on Sunday, February 15, 2009, of Doris Doucette of North Rustico, age 84. Doris was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Doucette; loving mother of Donald (Shirley); special grandmother of Jenna Gwen; and a mother figure to special nieces, Inez Pineau (John) and Fran Doucette (Ron, deceased). She is also survived by her sister, Agnes, and other nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her parents, Jack Peter and Katherine Gauthier; her children, Ralph and Gwen; her sister, Dorothy (Eugene) Doucette; and her brothers, Angus (Ethel), Ralph (Rita) and Alec. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow. No visitation by personal request. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Church Cemetery.
