Maria (Jaillet) Cormier GARDNER, MA - Maria (Jaillet) Cormier, 93, of Old Winchendon Rd., Gardner, MA died Tuesday in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Jaffrey, NH following an illness. Born in St. Edward, NB on February 14, 1909, she was the daughter of Antoine and Marguerite (Saulnier) Jaillet. With her husband, she operated and owned Cormier's Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Bouctouche, NB for 14 years before going to Gardner. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. Her husband, Alcide Cormier died in 1976. She leaves one son, Norman Cormier of Waltham; two daughters, Doris Whalen of Otter River and Pearl Cormier of Jaffrey, NH; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Clifford Jaillet and Edward Sawyer, both of Gardner; and three sisters, Melina Richard of St. Edward, NB, Elise LeBlanc and Anita Collette both of Gardner. Funeral services will be held Saturday from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00am in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm.
