Passed peacefully away after a short strong courageous battle with cancer at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, August 1, 2008, James King of Paradise, originally of Perry's Cove, age 51 years. Employee of Newfoundland Power for 33 years. Predeceased by parents: Francis and Mildred; sisters: Lavina and Mary; brother-in-law: Chesley Kennell. Leaving to mourn, wife: Karen; two daughters: Chrystal (Mark Cooper) and Juanita (Kyle Puddester), both of Paradise; three brothers: Fred (Dianne), Ontario, Sam (Lorna), Victoria and Gerald, British Columbia; two sisters: Jane Kennell, Western Bay and Winnie (Gerald) Butt, Broad Cove; friends: Doug Jackman, Mount Pearl and Florence Stone, St. John's and special family friend: Beverley (French) King, British Columbia; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR on Tuesday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow at the United Cemetery, Perry's Cove.
