MURPHY, Bridget Ann . (nee McDonald) Passed peacefully away at the Escasoni Complex on Friday, February 8, 2008, aged 86 years, of Mount Carmel. Predeceased by her husbands: James Murphy, John Power; and her children: Mary Anne, Josephine and Edward; and her brothers: George and Albert McDonald; her sister Ethel McDonald and her parents, Edward and Hannah McDonald. Left with fond and loving memories are her children: Agnes Power (Richard), Toronto, Hannah Finlay (Bob), New Perlican, Helen Fleming (Dennis Kavanagh), Jim Murphy (Helen Lee), both of St. John's, Joe (Caroline) Murphy, Torbay; her step-sons and daughters of the Power family; her special granddaughter, Josephine Murphy (Frank); her 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Minnie McDonald, Colinet; also a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, St. John's from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, then resting at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Monday from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Funeral will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mount Carmel. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of one's choice.
