Clifford, Samuel. (May 21, 1935 - August 1, 2008) Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving and devoted family at the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre palliative care unit, on Friday, August 1st, 2008, Clifford Samuel Smith of Blaketown, aged 73 years. Predeceased by his parents; Samuel and Beatrice Smith, brothers: Leo and Raymond, son in law, Glenn Day, brothers in law; Don Cranford, Aiden Mercer and Vincent Mayne. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful and precious memories, his best friend and loving wife, Grace, daughters; Linda (Alonzo) Thorne, Mt. Pearl, Marlene Day, Dildo, sons; Dean (Shelia), Dwayne (Karen), both of Cambridge, Ontario, grandchildren; Jason (Dana), Trevor (Amy), Bradley, Michael (Krissy), Matthew (Stephanie), Justin (Holly), Jason (Nicki), Theresa (Derrick), Ryan, Trina, Debbie and Kayla, one great grandchild Tyson. Also lovingly remembered by sister, Winnifred (Fred) Osbourne, sisters in law; Eileen Smith, Sylvia Mercer, Ella Mayne, Margaret Cranford, Florence (Wilf) Vincent, Edna (Clark) Montgomery, brothers in law, Vernon (Audrey) Mayne and Bruce (Marion) Mayne, as well as a large number of other relatives and friends, special friends John and Shelia Butler, Charlie Martin, Roy Gosse, Howard Smith, John Peddle and families. Resting at Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo with visitation, Saturday, August 2nd. 8:00 p.m., until time of funeral. The Funeral service will be held from All Saints' Anglican Church, Dildo on Monday, August 4th, 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
