The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, after a short illness and surrounded by his family and friends of Guillaume R. Gaudet, St. Peter & St. Paul aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Sophie (Doucette) Gaudet. He was born in Leoville on Jan. 10, 1919, to the late Roch and Elizabeth (Poirier) Gaudet. Dear father to Gloria Ellsworth, St. Peter & St. Paul, Vincent (Amy), Miscouche, Stephen (Joanne), Miscouche, Michael (Gracie), St. Peter & St. Paul, Paul (Susan), St. Peter & St. Paul, Jacinta (Colin) Wallace, Moncton, Janine (Willie) Richard, St. Edward, Krista (Dale Gallant) Ellsworth, Piusville, daughter-in-law, Elaine Gaudet, Hebron, and son-in-law, Bernie Perry, Peterville. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Stella Gaudet, Leoville. Loving grandfather to 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Roch and Elizabeth, daughters, Bernadette and Marcella, son, Patrick, son-in-law, Ivan Ellsworth, and brother Edmund. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held Thursday at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish, with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to Tignish Health Centre or Tignish Fire Dept. would be greatly appreciated. Tignish Branch #6 Legion members will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m.
