THOMPSON, Doreen Marie ( nee Russell)– Aged 68 years. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Predeceased by her parents Lillian and Cyril Russell. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, sons: Cyril (Michelle), Kelly/Carl (Caroline), Bobber (Luanne) and daughter Joan Barrington (Gene); three precious grandsons, who were the “light of her life”: Christopher, Chad and Grant; two sisters: Libby Buckle (Jim), Sandy Abbott (Mike); four brothers: Doug (Shirley), Gerry (Verna), Bob (Allison) and Jack (Donna), also a large circle of nieces, nephews and numerous relatives, friends and special school chums. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation will take place on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the School Lunch Association, St. John’s, N.L.
