Robert Byron Atkin, 77, Upper Stewiacke passed away in Maine Verterans Home on Feb. 6, 2009.
Predeceased by parents John and Mona(Cox) Atkin. He is survived by wife Catherine (Finley), sons Andrew and Anthony, Granite Falls, N.C. Jamie, Hickory, N.C. Daughters Catherine, Hickory, N.C. and Jennifer, Alabama; sister Elaine, Las Vegas; eight grandchildren, many relatives in N.S.
He was a 20 year veteran of the Armed Forces in USA. Also a police officer in Hickory, NC.
Creamation has taken place, service and burial to take place later in South Branch, N.S. Robert was a special man who will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He will live in our hearts and memories and although he is gone he will never be forgotten.
Death is not extinquisting the light, it is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come - Tagor.
