Cora R. Allanach 1921 2003 The death of Cora R. Allanach, wife of Dr. W. Gerald Allanach, of Moncton occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, January 5, 2003. Born in Moncton, December 29, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Monro and Frances (Thompson) Stephen. After graduating from Moncton High School she attended Mount Allison University, during the Second World War she worked with the RCAF also during the war, on July 31, 1943, she married Dr. W. Gerald Allanach. She is a member of the Moncton Gyrettes, St. John's United Church and had been a member of the Moncton Curling Club. In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Lloyd of Moncton; her daughter Stephanie Crew (Lionel) also of Moncton; one granddaughter, Melinda Vinqvist and her children Peter and Samantha all of Kentville; one grandson Stephen Roberts of Ontario. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers. By request there will not be any visiting hours or public funeral service. A private family committal service will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
