Roy Gilbert White went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, February 16th, 2009 at the age of 79 years. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 20th, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Apostolic Church with Rev. Allan Buchanan officiating. Gilbert was predeceased by his parents and 4 brothers-in-law, Bob, Walter, Donald and Gardiner. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years Marion; his children Elaine (Wayne) Howatt, Louise (Helmut) Callin, Marie (Brian Green) White, Bruce (Sandi) White, Beverley (Ian) Bone, Roy A. (Kim) White, and Timothy White; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 6 sisters Eleanor McClinton, Millicent (Jack) Barker, June Murray, Doreen (Grant) MacDonald, Helen Henderson, Priscilla (Bill) Rempel; 5 brothers James A. (Marguerite), Paul (Gloria), Sydney (Marlene), Richard (Eve), and Earl (Freda); brother-in-law James (Joyce) Johnson; sister-in-law Connie Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Upon graduation from Moose Jaw Technical High School, he founded R.G. White Construction Company Ltd. which he operated with his wife and family until his retirement. Gilbert was a strong supporting member of several organizations including the Gideons, Kedleston Gospel Camp, and Hillcrest Apostolic Church.
