SEARLE, Douglas–Passed suddenly away at his home in Long Pond on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, age 73 years. Predeceased by his son Perry (1999), great-granddaughter Keihannah (1998). Leaving to mourn his wife Joan; five sons: Eddie (Barb), Austin, Dougie, Max (Karen), Rodney (Lucky); six daughters: Barbara (Norm), Hilda, Linda (Gerry) Carol Ann (Chris), Betty (Dennis), Debbie (Randy); 28 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four brothers; one sister and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
