Edmond Richard 1922-2003 ST. IGNACE, NB - Edmond Richard, 80, widowed of Jeanne (Richard) Richard of St. Ignace, NB passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne on Saturday, February 15, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Born in St. Ignace he was the son of the late Joseph Richard and Madeleine (Gallant) Richard. He had been a woodsman and was employed with D.O.T. as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He attended St. Ignace de Loyola Roman Catholic Church, St. Ignace and was a faithful Church member and was involved in many community activities. He was also a member of the St. Ignace Golden Age Club. He is survived by two daughters, Monique Robichaud (Donald), Richibucto, Micheline Richard (Rhéal Robichaud), Val Comeau; one son, Réjean (Mariette), St. Ignace; seven sisters, Aurélia Daigle (late Gérald), Worcester, Mass, Bertha Fournier (Johnny), Montreal, Flora Léger (late Ulysse), Hopewell, NY, Alexina Richard (Emile), St. Ignace, Rose-Mai Gallant (Yvon), St. Ignace, Eugenie Babineau (Alfred), Saint John, Yolande Richard (late Elmo), St. Ignace; eight brothers, Irénée (Marguerite), Beloeil, QC, Wilfred (Marie), Leominster, Mass, Gérard (Maria), St. Ignace, François (Dina), Leominster, Mass, Laurie (Délcia), St. Charles, Emery (Marianne), Leominster, Mass., Yvon (Roberta), Richibucto, Paul-Emile (Gisèle), St. Ignace; five grandchildren, Sandy, MarcAndré, Christine, Rachel, Andy; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne; one grandson, Edmond and one brother, Camille. Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Monday from 2:00 pm until time of funeral. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ignace de Loyola Roman Catholic Church, St. Ignace on Monday, February 17, 2003 at 4:00 pm. Interment in Parish Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (5234252).
