Sylvio J. Roy POINTE SAPIN, NB - Mr. Sylvio J. Roy of Pointe Sapin, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2003 at Miramichi Hospital. Born in Pointe Sapin he was the son of Melinda Roy (Mazerolle) and the late Alfred Roy. He is survived by his mother; his friend Rita; two sisters, Diana Richard (Benoit), Claudette Richard (Maurice), both of Pointe Sapin; three brothers, Rheal (Maria) and Esmond of Pointe Sapin, Claude (Penny) of Fredericton; one uncle and godfather, Alex Mazerolle of Pointe Sapin. Predeceased by his father and one brother, Camille Roy. Sylvio was a self employed fisherman for 30 years. He worked for Kent North Fish Buyers and Crown Seafood for the last 9 years. He was a member of the Golden Age Club in Baie Ste. Anne. Resting at the Church Slumber Room in Pointe Sapin Tuesday, February 25 from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 26, 2003 from St. Joseph's Church, Pointe Sapin at 3 pm. Arrangements under the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi (773-4321).
