Bernadette MacDonald 1923 - 2003 Bernadette MacDonald "Barney", of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, March 2, 2003 at the age of 79 years. Born in Moncton, NB on September 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Evangeline (Arsenault) Cormier. She was a member of L'Assomption Cathedral, Moncton, she was also a member of The Kinettes, Moncton. Barney Worked for over 44 years with The American Optical Company. She is survived by her sister, Norma Cormier of Moncton; nephews, Dr. Dale McMahon of Ottawa, ON, Peter McMahon of Oakville, ON, John H. Cormier of Dieppe, Pierre R. Cormier of Dieppe and their families. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister , Jean McMahon in 2000; brothers, Roy, Rene and Oscar. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home, a private funeral service will be held in the spring. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery.
