Loving father of John and Michael McGarrity, London. Dear brother of Allen McGarrity and wife Gloria, Moncton, NB, Maurice McGarrity and wife Joan, Oakville, Fr. Richard McGarrity, Marquette Jesuit Residence, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Genevieve McGarrity and Margaret McGarrity, St. Stephen, NB. Half brother of William Casey and wife Eleanor, Bangor, Maine. Also survived by brother-in-law Bill Brennan, Saint John, NB. Predeceased by brother Jerome McGarrity in W.W. II (1944), sister Patricia Brennan and parents Philip Breen Sr. and Genevieve McGarrity. He attended Holy Rosary Elementary School and St. Stephen High School in New Brunswick. Receiving his B.A. from St. Joseph's University (Holy Cross Fathers), he then graduated from the University of Ottawa Medical School in 1952. Interment in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, Sarnia, ON.
