Anne Aitken Cassidy 1901-2003 NEWCASTLE, NB - The death of Anne Aitken Cassidy of King George Highway, Newcastle, NB occurred at her residence on Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at the age of 101. Born in Newcastle she was the daughter of the late Howard Benjamin and Jessie Theresa (Donavon) Cassidy. Anne was an ardent member of St. James & St. John United Church, Newcastle, member of the choir for many years, member of the UCW and the Good Times Fellowship of St. James & St. John United Church. She attended Fredericton Business College, where she graduated in Business Administration, then secured a position as an accountant with the Lounsbury Furniture Company Ltd. where she was employed for forty-two years. She is survived by her sisters, Kathleen (Mrs. N.H.) Walker of Newcastle, and Jean (Mrs. Harold) Barham of Hamilton, ON; and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at St. James & St. John United Church, Newcastle on Friday, March 21, 2003 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Sandrabelle Rogers assisted by Rev. Ronald Feltmate. Burial will follow in the Miramichi Cemetery, Newcastle at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bell's Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB. Telephone 506-622-3600.
