Ronald S. Spence 1914 - 2003 SACKVILLE,NB - The death of Ronald S. Spence, age 88, of Sackville, NB occurred on Thursday, March 20, 2003 at the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, N.B. Born on May 23, 1914 in Regina, Saskatchewan, he was the son of the late Alex and Jean (Linton) Spence. Ronald will be sadly missed by his daughter Sheila (Steven) Beal of Midgic, N.B.; one sister Jean McEachen of Fredericton, N.B.; two grandsons Kevin (Bev) Strong of Sackville, N.B. and Christopher (Melanie) Strong of Riverview, N.B.; five great grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Eva in 1986 and a sister Ness McNie. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request of the family. The funeral service will be held from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Monday, March 24, 2003 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ruth Houtby officiating. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 26, Sackville will be holding a Legion service at 1:30 pm on Monday, March 24, 2003 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Burial will take place in the spring in the Sackville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronald's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
