Yvon Landry
Yvon Landry 1925 - 2003 CAP-PELÉ, NB - Yvon Landry, 77, of Portage, NB, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, March 28, 2003 at his residence. Born in Saint-André, August 18, 1925, he was the son of the late Gabriel Landry and the late Alma Babineau. A veteran during World War II with the Royal Canadian Army having served in Canada. Prior to his retirement, he was a fork lift operator in Toronto and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Cap-Pelé. Yvon is survived by his wife, Doris (LeBlanc) Landry; one son, Joey of Toronto, ON; six sisters, Bella Léger (Léo), Adelessa Richard (Yvon) of Haute-Aboujagane, Bertha and Edith Landry of Saint-André-LeBlanc, Florine Bourque (Normand) of Grande-Digue, Dorina Bourgeois (Alfred) of Trenton, ON.; three brother, Gérard (Elda) and Jean (Lois) of Shediac, Ovila (Majella) of Cap-Pelé; and one grandchild , Shane. He was predeceased by a brother, Arthur. Resting at Funérarium Frenette, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Monday from 1p.m.until time of departure at 1:50p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at 2p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2003 at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Frenette Funeral Home Shediac Ltd. In his memory, donations to the Oncology Center of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
