Donat Bourgeois 1914-2003 GRANDE-DIGUE, NB - Mr. Donat Bourgeois, 89, of Grande-Digue passed away on Friday, March 28, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Cocagne, February 21, 1914, he was the son of the late Elzéar Bourgeois and the late Roseanne Cormier. He was a Veteran during World War II having served with the Royal Canadian Army in Fredericton in 1942. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Supply Depot No. 5., Moncton. Donat is survived by one daughter, Anita McDonald of New Glasgow, N.S.; two sons, Omer (Lynn) of River Philip, N.S., Leonard (Mai) of Babineau Road; one sister, Stella Damien of Mass.; two brothers, Alyre and Henri of Moncton; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, Flora (Bourgeois) Bourgeois (1990); three sisters, Nelda Bourque, Rebecca Girouard, Emeline Grouber and two brothers, Edmond, André Bourgeois. At his request, there will be no visiting hours at the funeral home or funeral service. A private committal service will be held at a later date in GrandeDigue. In his memory, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. Georges-L.Dumont Hospital Foundation (862-4285).
