Marjorie Doreen DeWitt GUELPH, ON - Marjorie Doreen DeWitt passed away March 20, 2003 at the Guelph General Hospital, Guelph, Ontario in her 81st year. Born in Selsdon, England January 15, 1922 to Sidney and Doris Williams both now deceased. She worked with the British Red Cross during the Second World War. Came to Canada in 1945 as a War Bride and lived the remainder of her life in Canada raising her Sons and enjoying her Family. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Foster DeWitt. She is sadly missed by sons, Mark and Gregory; granddaughters, Tara, Erin and Maria DeWitt; grandsons, Adam, Thomas, Shane and Tony DeWitt; daughters-inlaw, Jean, Madelyn and Rachel DeWitt; as well as brother and sister-inlaw Morris and Marlise DeWitt; nieces, Christina DeWitt and Gloria Streeter; nephew, James Bateman and his wife Helen; and Marjorie's close friends. She was predeceased by her eldest son, John. Our hearts are heavy with the sorrow of losing you and warmed by the memories of all that you were. A private family service has taken place. Inurnment will take place at the Dorchester Cemetery during the summer of 2003. A prior announcement of the time and and date will be made. The Family asks anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Marjorie to do so to the IWK Children's Hospital, Halifax, Nova Scotia in recognition of Marjorie's Love of Children.
