Gordon M. Boyd Gordon M. Boyd, 77, of Moncton passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, March 30, 2003. Born in Moncton, son of the late Thomas and Eva May (Fielding) Boyd. Gordon was a retired C.N. Locomotive Engineer with 35 years service, member of Humphrey Memorial United Church and former Church Session Member, Member of Keith Lodge #23 F & A.M. and Sunny Brae Legion # 54. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the Royal Canadian Navy. Gordon's passion was boating and being on the water. He had a wide circle of friends. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his fellow veterans at Sunny Brae Legion, the Golden Agers Bowling League and the friends he often met with at Highfield Square. Gordon will be sadly missed by his daughter, Bonnie Boyd-Read (Graham), Halifax; special friend, Bessie Brown, Moncton; brother, Ralph, St. Andrews; his wife, Rita Boyd and his relatives and many friends. Predeceased by brother, Donald; niece, Gail Boyd. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, Wednesday 2-4, 7-9. Sunny Brae Legion # 54 Memorial service Wednesday, 6:45pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, April 3, 2003, 11am. Rev. Andrew Richardson officiating. Reception following the Service. Interment, Fair Haven Cemetery.
