Alfreda Gallant COCAGNE, NB - Alfreda Gallant, 84, wife of the late Martin Gallant (2001) of Foyer Cte D'or, Cocage, NB, and formerly of Saint-Thomas de Kent passed away at her residence on Saturday, April 5, 2003 after a sudden illness. Born in Cocagne, NB on June 20, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Maxime Léger and Marie-Blanche Despres. She was a homemaker, and attended Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Melanson (Alvin) of Saint-Thomas de Kent; son, Ronald (Dora) of Dartmouth, NS; two sisters, Dorina Arsenault, Doris Cormier (Eric) both of Cocagne, NB; two brothers, Omer (Thérèse), Alcide both of Cocagne; four grandchildren, David, Debbie, Jason, Mathieu; one great grandchild, Robert; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Aline, Thérèse and Rita. Resting at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne, with visitation on Sunday, April 6 from 7 to 9 and Monday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral to be held at SaintPierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 11:00am. Interment in parish cemetery. Arrangements in care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
