Mary Gloria (Meade) Todd
Mary Gloria (Meade) Todd HALIFAX, NS - Mary Gloria (Meade) Todd, 81, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2003, in Parkstone Extended Care Facility, with her beloved husband of 57 years at her side. Born in Moncton, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Brian and Corrine (Coleman) Meade. Mary worked at Royal Bank and CNR in Moncton before dedicating her life to raising her family. Mary will be greatly missed by her husband, William "Bill"; sons, Brian (Nancy) and David (Lori), Halifax; daughter, Mary Beth (Andre) Pion, Ottawa; 11 grandchildren and sister, Peggy (Dr. Jack) Boudreau. She was predeceased by infant son, Peter; sister, Catherine (Warren) Flanagan, and brother, Donald (Joyce) Meade. A strong but gentle woman, Mary touched the lives of many. In addition to raising her own children, she was a loving foster mother to a number of children throughout the years. She was an avid bridge player, lover of travel, and a devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Rockingham. Mary's family would like to thank the Sisters and staff at Mount St. Vincent Motherhouse and Parkstone who took such exceptional care of her for the last three years. Visitation will take place in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Windsor Street, Halifax, today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2003 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
