BROWN, George Percy Alex - George passed away suddenly and unexpectedly January 23, 2009, at the Cypress Regional Hospital. George was born on June 22, 1944, in Gull Lake, SK, and was the youngest child of James and Mabel Brown. He was raised at Verlo, SK. At an early age he moved to work in Alberta and eventually worked as a welder in the oil sands at Fort McMurray. George is survived by his brothers John (Marjorie) Brown, Alfred Brown, Darcy (Diane) Brown; sisters Mary Mead, Edith (Dick) Todd, Betty (Roy) Pearce, Lavina (Tony) Fraess; sister-in-law Norma Brown; brother-in-law Percy Line; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Mabel Brown; his first wife, Marie, in 1975; brother Pat Brown; sister Sarah Line; brother-in-law Clifford Mead; and sister-in-law Stephenia Brown. George's life has come full circle as his special request was to return to Verlo. A private family interment will take place in the Verlo Cemetery later this year. He will be missed by his family and many Alberta friends.
