Rita Gallant 1923 - 2003 ST. ANSELME, NB - Rita Gallant, 80, of St. Anselme, formerly of Spring Street, Moncton, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2003 at the Dr. GeorgesL. Dumont Hospital. Born in St. Antoine de Kent, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and the late Evangeline (née: McCaie) Goguen. She was a parishioner of St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Gallant is survived by one daughter, Yvonne (Paul) Munroe, of Vancouver, BC; two sons, Emile (Claudette) of Fox Creek, Norman (Irene) of St. Anselme; one sister, Janet (late Gordon) MacKay of Dieppe; six grandchildren, Denise, Mike, Dave, Danny, Robert and Donald; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and also by her friend of 43 years, Lea McGraw-Landry. She was predeceased by her husband, Jean-Pierre in 1992; two sisters, Ella, Colette; five brothers, Hector, Anselme, Gerald, Ernest and Léoda. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Monday, April 21, 2003 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at 11 am. Interment in NotreDame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
