Donald Charles Rayworth
Donald Charles Rayworth KENTVILLE, NS - Donald Charles Rayworth, 75, of Kentville passed away on Friday, April 25, 2003, at the Valley Regional Hospital after a long illness. Born in Moncton, N.B., he was the only son of the late Jack and Helen (Dunham) Rayworth. Don was employed with Atlantic Wholesalers for 40 years and the last 15 years as Manager in areas such as Kentville, Moncton, Digby, Yarmouth, Coldbrook, and Halifax and then retiring in 1988. Don was a member of the St. Paul and St. Stephen United Church and Kentville Rotary Club, Ken-Wo Golf Club and Glooscap Curling Club. Don was keenly interested in sports and especially in organizing Little League Baseball and Minor Hockey programs for young people. He personally enjoyed Golf and Curling and other community activities. Don is survived by his wife, the former Joan (Myles) and four sons, Stephen (Margaret) of Agassiz, B.C., Scott (Audrey) of Wolfville,N.S., Timothy of Kentville, N.S. and David (Kim) of Shediac, N.B. and a sister, Margaret Clerke of Ottawa, Ont.; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his youngest son, Michael (Emily) of Halifax, N.S. and his sister Mollie. There will be no visitation for Mr. Rayworth, cremation has taken place. There will be a Memorial Service on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at 2 p.m. in St. Paul and St. Stephen United Church, Kentville with Rev. Dr. Randy Crozsman officiating with a burial in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to H.C. Lindsay Funeral Homes, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville, N.S. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
