William Daigle
William Daigle 1923-2003 William Daigle, 79, of Moncton Veteran's Center, formerly of Lakeside Estates & Parkton, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at his resience. Born in Acadieville, NB, he was the son of the late Pacifique and the late Ursule (neé: Richard) Daigle. He had retired as a cement finisher, Was a WWII army veteran, as well as a former parishioner of Notre-Dame de Grace Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB. Mr. Daigle is survived by three daughters, Elva (Reginald) Mullin and Thérèse (Alvin Dupis) Daigle, both of Moncton, Maria (Francis) Melanson of Grande Digue; two sons, Aimé and François (Pauline), both of Moncton; two sisters, Marie-Jeanne Deveau of Moncton and Florida (Alphonse) Leger of Aboujagane; two brothers, Emile (Thelma) of Dieppe and Amable of Acadieville; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Yvonne (neé: Arsenault) in 1989; one daughter Jeanne; one sister Thérèse and by two brothers, Yvon and Gérard and also by one grandson Michel. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Thursday, May 8, 2003, from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. and also on Friday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from NotreDame de Grace Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 9, 2003 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. A Veteran's Service will be held at the funeral home, Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Donations to the Dr Georges L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation "Veteran Unit" would be appreciated by the family.
