Peter Poirier Peter Poirier, 64, of Moncton, passed away Friday, May 23, 2003, at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Grande-Digue, October 28, 1938, he was the son of the late Hypolite Poirier and the late Lorette Gallant. He is survived by his wife, Effie (Frampton) Poirier; three daughters, Beatrice MacKenzie (Phil) of Halifax, Tammy (Ray Fry) of Amherst, Mary Ellen (Paul Melanson) of Moncton; two sisters, Carole Ann Knox (Hazen) of Saint John, Rose Marie Boudreau (Donald) of Sussex; two brothers, Denis (Sandra) of Moncton, Léo-Paul of Dieppe, seven grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews. He's predeceased by a sister, Gisèle; brothers, Edgar, Claude and Guy. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Saturday from 2-4 and 79 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 26, 2003 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Grande-Digue.
