Lavina Nicholson PORT ELGIN, NB - Hattie Lavina (Gungie) Nicholson of Port Elgin passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2003 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. Born in Bayside, NB, she was a daughter of the late William and Lila (Allen) Pauley. She was a member of the Port Elgin Senior Citizen's Club. She is survived by two sons, Norman (Hazel), and Lawrence (Buddy) (Henrietta), both of Moncton; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; one sister, Zora (Clayton) Mills, Hopewell, NS; four brothers, Carl (Doris) Pauley, Kenneth (Margaret Rose) Pauley, Ray (Joan) Pauley, all of Port Elgin, and Elton (Roberta) Pauley, Fredericton. She was predeceased by her husband, Harman Nicholson in 1977; an infant daughter; one sister; Leota Wall; and two brothers, Melford and Ivan. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin, NB (364-1300) with visiting hours on Saturday, May 31, 2003 from 2 pm until the time of the funeral at 3 pm, officiated by Ms. Sue King-Darby.
