Hector Joseph Savoie SAINT-EDOUARD DE KENT, NB - Hector Joseph Savoie,90, common law husband of Modeste Jaillet of SaintEdouard de Kent, NB passed away at Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, SainteAnne de Kent, NB on Wednsesday June 4, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Born in Bouctouche, N.B. on July 2, 1912 he was the son of the late Maxime Savoie and Jeanne Arsenault. He was a labourer with CP Rail for several years , and attended Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church. He belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, Bouctouche.and served during WWII for the Royal Canadian Artillery, 1st Tank Regiment, and served overseas from 1940 - 1945. He is survived by one daughter, Theresa Savoie of Vancouver and two step-daughters, Félice Blanchard (Freddie), Denise Légere both of SaintEdouard de Kent; two step-sons, Altérice (Fernande) of Saint-Edouard de Kent, Jean-Noel (Elsée) of Sainte-Anne de Kent; three sisters, Sr. Exelda Savoie n.d.s.c. of Moncton, Emilienne Richard (Elie), Juliette LeBlanc both of Sainte-Marie de Kent; one brother, Lionel (Rosée) of Cocagne; one grandson; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by four sisters, Laudia, Joséphine, Marie, Albina and four brothers, Joe, Albert, Aquilla and Désiré. Resting at Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., Bouctouche with visiting hours on Tuesday from 7 to 9 and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral service will be held at Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at 7 pm. Interment in Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Maillet funeral Home, Bouctouche.
