Corinne Legere PORT ELGIN, NB - The death of Corinne Legere, age 85, widow of George Legere, occurred suddenly on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at the Victoria Manor, Amherst. Born in Port Elgin, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Salomne (Babineau) Cormier. She was a member of the St. Clements Church and CWL, Port Elgin. Corinne will be sadly missed by a son, Leonard, Cambridge, ON; two daughters, Paulette (Douglas) Purdy, Sackville and Julie (Courtney) Wall, Port Elgin; one sister, Greta White, Amherst, NS; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George in 1993 and two sons, Ronald and Charles. The remains are resting at Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main Street, Port Elgin, with visitation Sunday and Monday from 7-9 pm. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at 11 am at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church, Port ELgin, Rev Father Philip Mulligan officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery.
