Dorothy Christine Smith TRURO, NS - Dorothy Christine Smith, 78, of Truro passed away June 11, 2003 in the Moncton Hospital, Moncton, NB. Born in Saltsprings, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Mary Margaret (Cameron) MacGillivary. She was the wife of the late "Dick" Smith. In earlier years, she was employed with Bennie's Restaurant and Stanfield's Limited. She is survived by daughters, Darlene (Bob) Taylor, Moncton, N.B., Marjorie (Berry) Friesen, Halifax, N.S.; sons, Douglas (Shelley), Richard (Sharon), both of Truro, Bob (Ova), Hilden; grandchildren, Neil, Erin, Jennifer, Suzanne, Amy, Robert, Justin, Kandace; sister, Jean MacKenzie, Westfield, N.B. She was predeceased by sister, Emma. No visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 2:30 pm in St. James Presbyterian Church with Rev. Clair MacLeod officiating. Interment in Crossroad's Cemetery, Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Arthritis Society.
