. Iona M. Fowlie 1918-2003 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Iona Marie Fowlie, widow of the late Edgar Fowlie, of Little Branch Road, Black River Bridge, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday, June 19, 2003, at the age of 85. Born in Black River Bridge, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Jean (Allen) Cameron. She was a homemaker; a retired employee of the former Miramichi Rehabilitation Center, employed as a Counselor with the Mentally Challenged; a member of St. Stephens United Church, Black River Bridge; a former member of the church choir; a member of the U.C.W.; a former Sunday School Teacher as well as Explorer Teacher. She is survived by two sons, Robert Fowlie (Andrea Merilda), of Black River Bridge, And Reg Fowlie (Susan), of South Esk; four sisters, Isabel Makie, of Norwood, Mass, USA, Edith Bremner, of Napan, Wilna Fraser, of Mississauga, ON., and Blanche Witlock, of Toronto, ON.; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar, in 2001; three sisters, Dorothy Lockerbie, Rita Coats, Elspeth MacDonald; four brothers, Dougal, John, Kenneth and Allen Cameron. Visititation will be held from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Friday evening, from 7-9 pm, and on Saturday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Stephens United Church, on Sunday, June 22, 2003, at 1 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
