Norma Whalen 1934 -2003 Norma Whalen, 69, of Irishtown, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2003 at her residence. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Marceline (née: O'Brien) Roy. Mrs. Whalen is survived by her husband William; two daughters, Jamie Whalen of Irishtown and Tracy Whalen of Ottawa; two sons, William "Bill" (Becky) of Moncton and Jason of Irishtown; two sisters, Irma (Robert) Boldger of Truro, and Irene Donovan of Miramichi; three brothers, Ron (Simonne) Leger of Dieppe, Leo (Louise) Leger of Brampton ON and Romeo (Beverly) Leger of Riverview as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Stella and Jeannette. A private funeral service will be held, with Father Peter McKee officiating. In her memory, donations to the Oncology Departments of the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
