Katherine MacDonald McKeen TRURO, NS - Katherine MacDonald McKeen, 89, died July 6, 2003 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, NS. Born in Newton Mills, Col. Co., she was a daughter of the late Gilmore and Mary (Hattie) Creelman. She was a former school teacher for seven years in Nova Scotia, Medical Radiation Technologist for 38 years in the Province of New Brunswick, 19 years with Moncton Hospital and 19 years with the Department of Health. Member of St. Andrew's United Church, Truro and the United Church Women (Active Member since 1960); Life Member with C.A.M.R.T. New Brunswick Division, C.A.M.R.T. and the Canadian Federation of Business & Professional Women's Club's, past treasurer of the I.O.D.E. Scotia Chapter. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by nephews James Creelman of Maple Ridge, BC and George Creelman of Hilden, Col. Co.; nieces, Margaret MacDonald of Orleans, ON, Ruth Cox of Dean, Halifax Co.; sister-inlaw, Gladys Creelman of Pictou; three step-sons and one step-daughter. She was predeceased by husband, John L.; sister Dorothy Cox, and brother John Creelman. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, 2 pm from Matatall Funeral Home, Truro, Rev. Karen MacNeill officiating, reception to follow. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke.
