Agnes Alice Blair Dowd Smith WHEATON SETTLEMENT, NB - Agnes Alice Blair Dowd Smith of Wheaton Settlement, NB, age 93, passed away on July 14, 2003 at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home. Born December 22, 1909 in Toronto, ON., she was a daughter of the late Richard Dowd and Mabel Harkley. She was a retired nurse, and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ruth White (Captain Hal) of Bermuda, Mrs. Nadine Crossman (Charles) of Wheaton Settlement, and Ester Smith of Salisbury; three sons, Bruce Smith (Joyce) of Dunnville, ON., Thomas Smith (Dawn) of Riverglade, and Glenn Smith (Audrey) of Saint John, NB; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh Smith in 1989; two of her quadruplet children; daughter, Kathleen; and son Hebert. The remains are resting at Armstrong's Funeral Home Ltd., 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, N.B., with visiting hours on Wednesday, July 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home on July 17, 2003 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor James Abbott officiating. Burial will be held in the Wheaton Settlement Cemetery.
