Carloine M. Groves 1945 - 2003 The death of Carloine M. Groves, wife of Barrie Groves, of Lower Coverdale occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday July 15th, 2003 following a brief illness. Born in Lakeburn on June 9, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Lirette) Smith. Carloine had been employed with the Moncton Times Transcript prior to her early retirement. She loved reading, gardening, embroidery and spending time with her dogs. In addition to her husband, Barrie, she is survived by two sisters, Phyllis (Peter) Schmitz of Germany, Barbara Smith; four brothers, Wallace (Noella), Wayne (Theresa), Allan (Sylvia), Ralph (Gail), all of Moncton and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother in law Florence Ida Groves (the late Wilfred Groves) of Bonavista, NL. By request there will not be any visiting hours prior to her Memorial Service which will be held on Friday July 18th at 3 pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel followed by a gathering of friends and family which will take place in the Family Reception Room of the funeral home.
