Florence Vessey NEW GLASGOW, PEI - The death of Florence Vessey (nee Atkins), aged 64, wife of Sid Vessey, occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home July 17, 2003. Mother of Butch (Tara), Brenda (Tim), Sid Jr. (Sheila), Diana (Owen); grandmother of Matthew, April, Sherry, Mitchell and Dallas. She is survived by brothers and sisters Kay Soy (Gerry), Marjorie (James), Ronnie (Burnese) and Ambie (Edna). She was predeceased by her Mom and Dad Jimmie and Catherine Atkins and her two brothers Butch and Simon. Resting at the Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, (Route 224), New Glasgow, P.E.I., for visitation time from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Friday, July 18; then transferred Saturday morning, July 19 for funeral Mass at 10:30am at St. Augustine's Church, South Rustico. Interment in the Church Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Prince Edward Home or charity of choice.
