Francis (Frank) G. Hughes LUTES MOUNTAIN, NB - Francis (Frank) G. Hughes, 80, of Lutes Mountain, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, July 19, 2003. Born in Sturgeon Falls, ON, son of the late Norman and Loretta (McNally) Hughes. Frank was a former employee of Canada Post, member of Lutes Mountain Church of the Nazarene of over 42 years and served his church in various positions in past years. Veteran of the Second World War, served overseas in Continental Europe with the Royal Canadian Army Field Engineers (19411946) and was a veteran of the Korean War, served with the Canadian Armed Forces. In 2002, he received the Metal of Honor from the Ambassador of Holland for his service during the Second World War. Member of the Moncton Legion #6 for over 55 years, former volunteer Moncton Hospital, and his major enjoyment was music which will be sadly missed by all. Frank will be sadly missed by his wife of over 50 years, Irma (Sprague) Hughes; daughters, Julie Holliday (Pete), Taylor's, SC, June Wood (Stephen), Canaan Forks; sons, John (Kathryn), Birch Ridge, Joseph (Donna), Steeves Mountain, James (Diane), Berry Mills, Jason, Lutes Mountain; grandchildren, Shane, Alexandra, Stephanie, Christopher, Ashley, Kayla, Morgan, Nicholas, Brittany, Andrew, Natalie; great grandson, Cody; sister, Vivian Lee, Oshawa, ON; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son, Jeffery; sisters, Annabel, Florence, Margaret, Lorraine; brothers, Stewart, twin brother George, Gordon, Cameron. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Monday 2-4, 7-9. Moncton Legion memorial service, Monday, 7pm.
